Some may say with welcoming your first new born a van is fore'seen in your short future, not necessarily. Even guys that grew up tuning vehicles can still have a nice family ride, as most know. Kinda like what my god daughter travels in when she's out running around with mom & dad...
No, I do not live in Cali, nor Florida, or any other place where warm winter months are a factor. My home is Canada, a place where winter rolls around on a regular, bringing snow, cold minus degree temperatures, slush, salty roads etc...If you're a car guy, someone that loves tuning their ride, you know what I feel all very well. Every Sept/Oct, all car heads get ready to start stripping their cars to be prepared for storage. It's how I've grown up and currently still witness the same tasks over and over again by countless automotive owning fanatics. For the lucky ones that have multiple cars to drive, this may not be a big deal, for others that only have one nice vehicle to drive, winter months are a pain in the a$$. Swapping wheels, suspension and god knows what else. Just to do it all over again in the spring time. With countless prayers during the cold months for the hot days to come back quickly, oh how I envy my Cali friends. So as most tuner nuts currently wait for the snow to melt, new car parts to arrive, spring is here!!! weather isn't... but in due time beams of hot healthy Vitamin D sunshine will come down upon thee. For now, the cars wait, grounded....weather waiting.
Sneaker Design Project 2
March 16th 2013 brought us another event put on by Toronto Loves Kicks, Sneaker Design Project part 2 at the Bata Shoe Museum. Night time atmosphere with Channel 9 dropping the beats, crowd of locals that came to support their friends and family. Thanks also to Sharpie Canada and Luigi Sardo / Converse for providing the ink and canvas for the contestants to create their magic on. Artists had 25 minutes to create/design, lay down a sharpie theme that would be judged by the attendees. Coloring and designing a all white sneaker isn't easy by any means. Especially in a 25min span, crowds hovered around you, taking pictures/video etc...With time ticking down, pressure on, these players created some amazing concepts. With that said, here are a few images that I captured that evening. Thanks to the #SneakerMisfits who showed up in full force! See you at the next event.....

It was quite a nice site to see the crowd gather and cheer on, enjoy as the artists were doing their thang. Honestly, I wasn't expecting the capacity to reach the number it did. Salute.
& of course a few sneaker shots, cause you know there had to have been at least a few in the crowd.
Kind of like a break up between a couple, my Facebook relationship has pretty much taken it's toll on me. I haven't been on FB to browse/like/converse in at least a month. 'Do I miss you FB?, not really, It was actually pretty easy not to log in. I think all the ads / spamming has turned me off, or possibly just need a change in venues. Maybe the fact that instagram/twitter are always under my finger tip has something to do with it as well. But honestly, I really have no explanation why I'm tired of FB. I just am. Seeing that my portfolio related page is on FB (eyeprojekt) my blog will automatically share content but other then that, I am done. Remember, peep me via instagram for my daily pictures and goings on! @eye_projekt
If I could, I would...but since painting/drawing is not my forte, I am out of luck when it comes to beautiful canvas work such as this Michael Jordan portrait I had done. Turned out exceptionally. Look forward to more work being showcased here by a very talented young man @artisticvandal
Who put this guy in a suit ? Really, who......
it's a rare occasion to see me in front of the lens & kinda dolled up! hehe! thanks to my son, I am now. Or was on that day anyways haha.
There are people that you meet thru out your lifetime that you feel like that they were sent to your face on purpose. Such is the story of the my peeps from TLK aka Toronto Loves Kicks.com. A crew of Torontonians that are doing big things for our youth, educating, enlightening a positive message, all while putting on lifestyle events around the city. Sneakers, music, culture is what they're all about. This year for Feb & BHM(Black History Month) they got together to brainstorm a idea that would be laid out on a tee shirt/crewneck. Something limited, and a design that was broken down from our past as young T.DoT teens. Now that the canvas has been finalized, thrown on my lap to spit my own 2cents on. I had a chance to chat with 'D from TLK today, about the past/present and the future of our Sneaker culture/lifestyle. As the weather dipped below zero, and we both had a busy day ahead, I grabbed my crews and headed home.
The design idea is one of a kind, brainstormed by TLK and put on paper by DVYNEART. It really hit close to my heart, as growing up in the city wearing all the shoes that are on the design. Travel Fox, LA. Gear, Ewing, BK & Fila. Brand names that barely get any recognition these days, unfortunately. Seeing these sneaker silhouettes with a CN tower city skyline printed on a piece of clothing just gave me the chills, really good chills that is. Making me feel all so ever young again. Looking forward to a few future projects with TLK this year. Even if you aren't a local, please check out their site for more upcoming info on future events.
Indeed it is my birthday today, but when you reach my oldness you stop counting the #'s that just get higher and higher. I feel good though, definitely not my age, and I may not act like it either. Today how ever was truly a special day. After being woken up by my family to a beautifully spread brunch, some hugs & kisses, we headed out the door to a baptism, and not just any baptism. My god daughters. That's right, I shared my day being a proud God Father to my God daughter Brooklyn. We had a spectacular ceremony, reception afterwards. Now back at home, I can relax, check out the pictures from the festivities, kick my feet up, have a bday drink.
I would just like to take the time and say a huge thank you to all that took the time out of their day to send me a Birthday wish. Whether on FB/Twitter or email. Bless everyone that reached out to share a few nice words. Salute! Now you may be wondering why you're not seeing a picture of yours truly on this bday. Well, we took this picture of Brooklyn a while back so we could make a special framed gift, love this image I captured of her. And now that the Baptism is over, mom and dad have the frame in hand, I can finally share this image of my God daughter. Cheers!
After a busy start to the new year, I am ecstatic to say that my auto portfolio is live. Of course through out the year it will be updated with fresh content. I may branch out with my creations this year, try some new styles etc...So if you know someone with a boombastic phat ride that would like to have it captured forever in the their mind, tell them to contact me and we'll make it happen! email@example.com
Seeing all this warm winter weather makes me want to burst into my shoe boxes and bring out all those flavorful summer color ways. But not yet, I can't. That much melting snow would do a number on these fresh brights. Slushy/rainy forecast deserves regular rotation shoes. Looks like a few more weeks before the brightness comes out. Like these Lunar Flow+, I decided to have some fun with these today, studio style. Ready for summer, yes they are, & so am I.
Super happy to tell everyone that the Client Access is fully live. So remember, no matter what we're creating or whom you wish to share the galleries with, it's all password protected for your convenience/privacy. Hit me up for those Spring time shoots! We can be serious, or we can have fun. firstname.lastname@example.org

Forgotten Bubbles, seems like every year when we celebrate on the eve of Dec 31st, more and more people are toasting in midnight with something else besides Champagne. It could be just me and the circle of our fam/friends, but as of late, I have talked to others whom have told me the same scenario. The bubbly might be ok for a sound effect, a pour in the glass as a traditional way of doing it while you scream 'Happy New Year !!!! Soon after the champagne glasses 90% full, get left behind and other mix drinks are being chased. Of course the quality of champagne has a lot to do with it as well. From personal experience, the bubbly bottle of golden Champagne is being left on the floor. While we dance the night away...
