North Americas first sneaker exhibit opened its doors on April 25th 2013 at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto Canada. Just when it seemed like you've seen it all when it comes to sneakers, perhaps you think you know all in the sneaker culture, well that may not be the case. Step your sole inside the Out of the Box Sneaker exhibit to find out otherwise. Years & history of the sole, going back to the early 1900's, that's right, the first soles ever. Many people with the same passion for sneakers had their hand in this project and to make it a reality. But as you enter the exhibit that's when you realize how much love exactly went in to this beautiful display. Detailed & Informative, even non sneaker lovers can appreciate and understand how deep this culture is. You can look at it as A-Z when it comes to coverage of most of the iconic, trend breaking shoe designs, releases. The event and opening night itself was a huge success, full house at the BSM. Folks lined up way prior to the 9pm opening. All night h'orderves/drinks flowed, DJ 'Tabs spun one incredible set, had many groovin at all parts of the BSM. It's always a pleasure getting together with familiar faces (yall know who you are!) ...Guest of honor DJ/entrepreneur, sneaker connoisseur Bobbito Garcia was at the launch signing autographs and being camera friendly. A great atmosphere as always put on by my people Toronto Loves Kicks. I stay humbled/privileged to been able to see & photograph the exhibit before the crowds got in. I thank you. Please enjoy my gallery from the Out of the box, the rise of sneaker culture exhibit. Which runs until March of 2014, so if you're in the area be sure to check it out.
